Consider the following scriptures before you answer that question.
Romans 12:3 - For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
2 Thessalonians 3:2 - And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.
How do we reconcile these two scriptures? Were the "wicked" men in the later verse but somehow lost their faith? Or were they never given faith to begin with?
Here is the reconciliation of the two scriptures. In Romans 12:3, the Apostle Paul is writing a letter to "the church" and NOT to every person in the entire world. So for example, a teacher may write a letter to her particular students saying I want every one to finish the assignment. But she is not talking about everyone in the entire world, but ONLY to HER students. Likewise, Paul is not writing to every person in the world but to the church ONLY. Therefore, God has ONLY given the church faith and NOT every person, thus you have those "unreasonable and wicked men" who have NOT faith. Let me know your thoughts on this!
